In the first big executive shuffle since Peter Roth was named president of Fox Entertainment Group last fall, the heads of primetime programs and comedy development are ankling the network, and Cheryl Bayer is joining Fox from CAA.

Bob Greenblatt, executive vice president of primetime programs, is leaving the network June 6, as has been rumored for months. There’s still no word on where he’s going or who will replace him, but sources have speculated that he might join the film side of News Corp.

Theresa Edy, vice president of comedy development, also left Fox Friday, as had been expected. As the new senior vice president of comedy development, former CAA agent Bayer is taking over Edy’s duties, starting today. Two other programming executives have been promoted: Danielle Claman has been upped to senior vice president of drama development from VP, and Mike Darnell, senior vice president of specials, will now oversee alternative programming too. His new duties include oversight of animation, sketch and reality series.

Lauren Carrao, vice president of alternative programming and latenight, had been rumored to be heading for a job at DreamWorks, but so far, she is still at the network. Darnell continues to report to Roth, and Claman and Bayer will report to Roth until a replacement for Greenblatt is named.

Prior to joining CAA in 1995, Bayer was head of talent and productions at ABC Prods.
