My Father's Dragon

This is the unabridged Living Popups illustrated and augmented reality enabled printing of My

Father’s Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett featuring the original illustrations by Ruth Chrisman Gannett.

Originally published by Random House, NY in 1948, this Newbery Award winner is about a young boy, who runs away to Wild Island to rescue a baby dragon. The narrative mode of the novel is unusual in that the narrator refers to the protagonist only as "my

father,” giving the impression that this is a true story that happened long ago.

The AR enabled illustrations serve as targets that come to life on a mobile device running the Living Popups AR Reading Companion App*.

The popups give context and additional background to help the reader better understand the story and enhance the reading experience.

At the end of the story there are AR enabled activities where the animals of Wild Island interact and challenge the reader on fun STEM activities.
